Free Landlord Workshop For Rental Property Owners, March 10, 2016

Pinellas County Housing Authority will host a free workshop to introduce

prospective landlords to the Housing Choice Voucher rental assistance program on
Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Many individuals and families are currently seeking suitable rental housing.

Landlords are also needed to provide housing to veterans through our HUD Veterans Affairs

Supportive Housing program (VASH). VASH provides permanent housing subsidies and case

management, and clinical and supportive services to homeless veterans with significant needs.
The VA screens for eligibility and medical stability, and also provides services.
HUD-VASH participants may rent anywhere within Pinellas County.

Benefits of the program include guaranteed monthly rent, free advertising to help fill vacancies, annual inspections of units, and important rental assistance guidance.

We are also seeking landlords who have handicap accessible rentals.

Our areas of operation for the program include all unincorporated areas of Pinellas County and the following cities: Largo, Oldsmar, Tarpon Springs, Dunedin, Gulfport, Kenneth City, Belleair, Palm Harbor, Pinellas Park, Safety Harbor, and Seminole. Properties in foreclosure are not eligible.
