Under the direction of the Comptroller, the Accounting department performs the accounting, payroll, budgeting, and audit coordination for all areas of the Housing Authority. Monthly financial reports for each program area are prepared in comparison to annual budget for review by the executive director and presented monthly to the Board of Commissioners. An annual external audit is conducted to ensure the Authority’s financial statements are fairly stated and comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
