Pinellas County Housing Authority collecting donations for the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian
Hurricane Dorian has left widespread damage in the Bahamas and residents there are in dire need of food and supplies. In the wake of Hurricane Dorian’s devastation in the Bahamas, the Pinellas County Housing Authority (PCHA) is participating in disaster relief efforts to aid in the country’s recovery.
The PCHA is seeking the community’s support by providing donations of relief supplies for the residents of the Bahamas. Beginning today through September 30, we are collecting critical items such as:
Canned Goods/Non-Perishable Foods
Can Openers
Disposable Plates and Eating Utensils
Baby Formula
Baby Wipes
Diapers
Personal Hygiene Kits
Sunscreen
Mosquito Repellent
Flashlights
Batteries
First Aid Items
Cleaning Items
Tarpaulins
Solar-Powered Chargers
PCHA is not collecting monetary donations or donations of clothing.

The PCHA provides housing opportunities for nearly 8,500 county individuals by utilizing public and private funding. PCHA’s focus is on providing affordable housing through the development, ownership, and management of properties and administration of rental subsidies.
