Pinellas County Housing Authority’s Vice Chair Angela Rouson appointed to the Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County
The Pinellas County Housing Authority (PCHA) is very proud to announce that Governor Rick Scott has appointed PCHA’s Vice Chair, Ms. Angela Rouson, to the Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County!
The mission of the Juvenile Welfare Board (JWB) is to support the healthy development of all children and their families in Pinellas County through advocacy, research, planning, training, communications, coordination of resources and funding.
Commissioner Rouson, a native of St Petersburg, has been a member of PCHA’s board since 2004, previously serving as Chair. She also currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the St. Petersburg Hospital Foundation, the Executive Board of the Stuart Society of the St Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts, the Board of the Cathedral School of St. Jude, and the National Council of Negro Women St. Petersburg Metropolitan Section. In addition she served on the Board of Trustees for Florida A&M University.
Commissioner Rouson is the proud mother of five young men, and the wife of State Representative Darryl Rouson. Her career spans from non-profit organizations such as the American Red Cross to corporations including Macy’s, IBM, Ceridian Benefits Services, and Bayfront Medical Center. She received her B.S. in Marketing from Hampton University in 1988 and her MBA from Florida A&M University in 2000.
Commissioner Rouson is certain to be an outstanding board member for the JWB!
Her appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
