Pinellas Heights seniors attend “The Hop!”
Pinellas Heights seniors recently hammed it up and celebrated the oldies with a 1950’s Sock Hop! A disc jockey (provided by one of the Pinellas Height residents) was on hand to assure the music was just right for the night, bringing back cherished memories from long ago.
Although 1950’s garb was purely optional, pony tails and poodle skirts filled the room, and bobby socks and saddle shoes! Cuban sandwiches, assorted side dishes, desserts and drinks completed the dinner menu. Seniors were rocking and bopping to the music, and several couples really “cut the rug” impressing all of their friends and neighbors! A great time was had by all, so popular if fact, requests have been made to do it all again!
Pinellas Heights is a senior community for low income individuals 62 years of age and older. Regular community activities keep residents active and involved.
