At this time, the Pinellas County Housing Authority (PCHA) is not accepting new applications for our Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) or Public Housing waitlists.

We understand how important affordable housing is to our community, and we encourage you to check this page regularly for updates. Any future openings will be announced right here and shared on PCHA’s official website and social media channels.

🕓 When Will the Waitlist Reopen?

PCHA opens its waitlists based on availability and funding, which vary depending on the type of housing program. When a waitlist is scheduled to reopen, we will:

  • Post a public notice on this website. 🌐

  • Share updates on our Social Media pages. 📱

  • Issue a public announcement in local media outlets. 📰

Please note: We do not maintain an interest list outside of official openings.

📋 How to Apply When the Waitlist Reopens

When the waitlist is open, eligible applicants will be able to apply online through a secure PCHA application portal. Applications must be submitted electronically — paper applications are not accepted unless a reasonable accommodation is requested.

Before applying, please have the following ready:

  • Full names, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers for all household members 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

  • Proof of income and assets 💵

  • Current contact information (address, phone, and email) 📞✉️
